“GET MUZZLED” MUSIC VIDEO PRESS RELEASE
INTRO
“Get Muzzled” is an explosive hard hitting track from “GHST”, the second album by George Heroine, an alter ego of the Oakland-based producer, songwriter and DJ, Muzz Delgado, otherwise known as “Meercaz.” “GHST” was an album long in the making and finally digitally released in JUNE 2025 on Love Anthem Records. Tracks “Fancy Laydee” and “Player’s Anthem” were the first two singles initially promoted via short form promos. This is the first full length music video promoting the album.
ABOUT THE VIDEO
The concept of the music video by BRAIN DRAIN INDUSTRIES was to translate the high energy ferocity of the raw rock sound of “Get Muzzled” into a visual “call to arms” : a pro-black anthem of action and protest, as well as a celebration of black musicians and activist icons who have contributed immensely to the culture and have inspired Muzz (George Heroine) in his own music and life Honoring the innovators and fighters, from Barbara Lynn to Prince, Sister Rosetta to Ice-T, Denise Oliver Velez to Roxanne Shante, Angela Davis to D’Angelo, the list goes on and on.
Drawing from a handful of famous Black Cinema classics like “Top of the Heap”, “The Bus is Coming” & “Abar: Black Superman”, the music video creates its own mashup of a loose storyline of a fake movie…a money heist plot involving a black motorcycle gang added with a kung fu themed love story, Additional B&W photograph montage sequences of iconic black musicians and activists are strategically placed throughout the movie clip footage. The vintage movie mash-up style of using the past to reflect on the current social-political climate is an effective style helping highlight the current devaluation of music and individual rights that we now, more than ever, witness every day.
This video is a celebration of the black struggle, of the fight against being exploited and undervalued and the racism within the system, the music business since the beginning that continues today. GET FREE OR GET MUZZLED.
